The Government of Alberta Approved Health Care Aide Provincial Curriculum
Graduates of the Health Care Aide program will gain fundamental skills needed in their practicum. This program currently has a 100% employment rate and many students secure their first job upon completion of the program. Get the training you need to work as a support worker for mental, physical and emotional well being of others.
Work full-time or part-time hours or even opt in for casual work as needed. There are different scheduled shift options available such as days, evenings and weekends. Work in a variety of different settings including hospitals, long term care centers, home care and community health facilities.

$9,000 Alberta Government Bursary Program Available
- Enroll in a HCA Alberta Government approved program.
- Preference is given to full-time students or currently working in non-clinical care.
- $3,000 – Complete course 1 to 5 of the certificate program.
- $6,000 – Complete HCA Course and pass the final exam.
- Submit a tuition Bursary application form and include course completion and supporting work documents.
- Sign a “return of service agreement’ with Norquest College.
